World-renowned celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has died of an apparent suicide at age 61. Known for his exquisite taste in food and love for culture, Anthony made a name for himself as one of the best storytellers around, a talent he showcased on his hit series Parts Unknown. The show's network CNN was first to report the tragic news, stating that the award-winning host was filming the series in France at the time of his death.
Anthony was not without a long roster of celebrity pals – from Chrissy Teigen to Mandy Moore to fellow chef Gordon Ramsay, who took to Twitter to share:"He brought the world into our homes and inspired so many people to explore cultures and cities through their food."
The author's girlfriend, Asia Argento, shared a heartfelt message following the death of her boyfriend. "Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine." The two first met back in 2016 while filming an episode of Parts Unknown in Rome. "I want to spend as much time with [Asia] as I can," Anthony gushed to People earlier this year.
Here, celebrity fans and friends pay tribute to the late chef and television personality.

Anthony was a major MeToo supporter. He strongly defended our rights; he spoke up publicly for us. He was that vital male partner. I am humbled and forever grateful that one of his last major projects was believing in and becoming EP of my recent CNN series on the lives of women.

According to AFSP, there are nearly 45,000 suicides every year in the US. Shocking. I was saddened to hear of the deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. RIP. It illustrates that success is not immune to depression. We all need to be more aware of our friends who are suffering

Maybe we all wanted to hang out with him. He was that cool, fun, frank, insightful. He introduced us to distant lands and to people with different traditions. And without ever preaching, he reminded us that we humans are far more alike than different. Thank you Anthony Bourdain pic.twitter.com/QMznx4JMhS
